The latest term being used to describe the whole IoT ecosystem is the \u2018Global Data Sphere\u2019. This term refers to the value-adding services in the cloud, data storage, Edge Computing, integrations and the integrated devices themselves \u2013 represented as a connected service chain. The International Data Centre (IDC) estimates, that by 2025, every 18 seconds there will be at least 75% of the global population connected to this Data Sphere in some way. It is estimated that IoT devices currently produce 90 Zettabytes of data, which is thought to double in size when processed further.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge is power when it is used to make decisions that are timed right, and nowadays this preferably happens automatically.
